ALTENEW VIDEO WATERCOLOR

**VIDEO+GIVEAWAY** Watercolor Gradation Background w/ Altenew Dye Inks & Background Stamp

Hello and welcome! It’s been a few weeks since my last video, I am away visiting my family in Korea so my studio hasn’t been getting much love! To get back into crafting, I wanted to create something fun and quick to share with you today.

Altenew just released a lot of fresh stamps, dies, and embossing powders! Yes, you read it correctly, embossing powders! woo hoo!! I personally am a big fan of heat embossing so it was such a great news to hear when I found out Altenew was releasing a new product line.

Today I am participating in a special blog hop to celebrate this release, there are a ton of ways for you to get inspirations as well as chances to win awesome prizes! So make sure to read through the post! Without a further ado, let’s go ahead and dive into today’s project.

When using with water-based dye inks, you can do a lot more than just stamping with them. Watercoloring with these dye inks are one of my go-to techniques and you can get more life/use out of what you already have to create beautiful results!

If you were always hesitant about getting traditional watercolors for your crads/layouts, I highly recommend taking out your dye inks and give this technique a try. When combined with heat embossing, you can easily create a lovely “ombre” of color shades using the inks and stamps.

To go with today’s technique, I used the brand-new Pattern Play – Diamond stamp set for a super quick and simple background stamping results. It is a great set to have, as you can stamp any A2 sized cards either in horizontally or vertically!
