ALTENEW VIDEO WATERCOLOR

**VIDEO+GIVEAWAY** Faux Watercolored Look w/ Layered Cupcake Stamp

Happy Wednesday! Today is a great day to create cards because we get to play with brand new stamps and dies released by Altenew! I am going to show you how quickly you can create a “watercolored” look on your card without actually using any watercolor mediums.

I am participating in a special blog hop to celebrate today’s release – there are so many wonderful stamps and dies to check out! You can also get a chance to win a cool prize, so make sure to keep reading!

Out of all the wonderful brand-new stamps, Layered Cupcake stamp is the one I used for today’s project to share with you. Usually I am a very precise person who likes clean finish and perfectly lined up images when stamping. However, faux watercolor stamping is something that’s just a lot of fun to play with, even if you do not get clean lines!

This is also a great way to get more use out of your dye inks – make sure they are water-based dye inks like the ones from Altenew, so you can get more flawless faux watercolored look.

Another great way to add interest to your “faux watercolored” card, is by adding sentiments with very crisp impressions. The contrast between the cupcake image and the sentiments will make your card pop effortlessly.

I hope you give this a try! It is super simple and easy – and a perfect one to use if you are short on time but want to create something fun!
