ORGANIZATION VIDEO

**VIDEO** Ink Pad Storage/Organization & Discount Code & GIVEAWAY!

Hello! To wish you a very happy start of a new week, today’s post has something fun and entertaining, especially for those out there who are OCD and like to organize crafting supplies (like me). This is one of the most highly requested videos I get from my fans out there so I hope you will find something that would work for your own crafting space.

*** DISCLAIMER *** Before we start, I would like to state that all the companies mentioned in this post and in the video below did not pay me to do this review. All of the products shown here are purchased personally by me. I am sharing my own thoughts and opinions in hope of inspiring other crafters out there.

As you all know, there are many different ways to store different types of ink pads. Lots of people use wood compartment ink pad storage systems that can be stacked up against walls. For some people these work great and can be a part of awesome craftroom decorations. However, I like to put everything away and have a super clean work area. So, drawers and storage bins are my best friends.

For most used dye inks: I use these storage binz, as shown in the picture above. There are two different types of these binz. I am using older style one which you can get it here and upgraded style one can be purchased here. I store Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts Inks for an easy and fast reach.

For Distress Ink Pads: This drawer organizer work great! The longer compartment one holds 16 Distress Inks along with the individual mini blending tools. The shorter one you see on the very far right of this drawer holds my extra blending tools and foam pads.

For Pigment Ink Pads and Other Dye Inks: I store them directly in this Alex Drawer Unit. The drawer above this one holds my Distress Inks mentioned above. I have Memento Luxe, Mama Elephant, Color Theory, and few others here. It is so easy to locate ink pads I need, quickly grab them and put them away when I am done. Having a good organization system will give you more freedom and time to create.

For Stampin Up! Ink Pads: I store them in this designated ink pad caddy by SU!. This fits them perfectly and I set this on top of my other drawer unit. They spin well so you can easily see all the colors. (And those ink pads come with labels!)

** There is obviously no need to put all of these ink pads. I collected them little by little and slowing building my palette. I do not think I will buy any more new brands, but will continue to build my current collections as those companies come out with new colors in the future. These are great brands and I love them all. Having lots of inks give you wider range of color selection, but it is not necessary for you to be able to create well. So, if you are wanting to have them all, just take your time!

To learn how I label all of my ink pads easy and fast, make sure to watch the video above. You would not want to miss it! I use both my laser printer and inkjet printer for the labels. They print really well and it is super easy to use them on any ink pads.

  1. I like Distress inks. I think they are so versatile. I LOVE all the different things you can do with them.

  2. Thanks for sharing your storage ideas–you are very well organized! My favorite ink pads are Memento, Hero Arts and Distress. I also love Versafine for sentiments..

  3. Hi, i just found your channel, love your holiday series. I only have some distress inks and a staz on, can;t really say which are my favourites (yet) but i am saving up to get some stamping up ones as i like the cases and colours

  4. Great storage ideas. I use Distress Inks and Memento Dye Inks in regular and the small size which is harder to store. Wonder if you had any ideas for storing the dew drop shape inks?

    1. I have about a couple dozen of dew drops stored in the same Alex drawer unit. (See the second to the last picture above, you will see those are stored sideways in a drawer organizer) I use 2 shorter drawer organizers, one for chalk inks and one for pigment inks in dew drop form. This one would work well, each drawer organizer can hold about 14 dew drops. You can get it here: http://lm.inlinkz.com/go.php?i=678460&c=120173

  5. Wow! Hard to pick one brand. Distress inks are a favorite, but am finding MFT hybrid inks to be the most versatile for coloring with either watercolor or Copics. Thanks for the chance to win.

  6. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I used the discount code to order the labels. They are exactly what I was looking for. I have Stamping up, MFT Hybrid, Distress inks, Momento inks, and some Ranger Archivals. I am always looking for good storage. I have a couple of the wooden on the wall storage units, but I don’t have enough wall space for more. Thanks again for a great video.

  7. I’m not sure if the giveaway is open for everyone, but as you didn’t say any other, I’d like to take part.

I do love my Stampin’Up! ink pads and even the older ones with the textured ink pad top, oposed to the new ones. For black inks I usually use my Momento tuxedo black or Versa Fine, but I definately would want to have more Distress ink pads in the future.

  8. I have Distress Inks, Stampin’ Up, Hero Arts, Color Theory ink pads. I love Versafine black ink! I store the ink pads in little cubbies that are built-ins in part of my crafting room, but I spend so much time reaching in and out to find the ink I want to use. I love your video…it has inspired me to begin to save for storage bins and I plan on using the coupon code to purchase labels so I can easily see what color I’m holding. This video is wonderful – so many useful ideas! Thanks for offering the give away! I’d love to have a tower to store my Stampin’ Up inks!

  9. It looks so nice I luv ur organization my favorite inks are hero arts, Avery Elle, stampin up and memento luxe as well as papertreyink brand inks thx for a chance at winning the caddy

  10. Your organization of your stamp pads is fantastic, I’d love it if mine were that organized. I love distress inks, but currently have been using my Simon Says Stamp pads the most. Thanks for the chance to win.

  11. Thanks for the organization video- it is very useful. I only have Stampin Up ink pads for now. I’m saving up for distress inks. Thanks for the chance to win.

  12. Such a beautiful organization. This helped us so much. I just Stampin’ Up! And they are awesome but I have seen you using Distress Ink for blending and they are awesome. I would love to win this up.

    Hugs,
    Aksha

  13. My favorite inks are SU’s new pad design. they are so juicy and give excellent coverage.
Thanks for the chance to win.

  14. Great Video! Thanks for touching on this. Storage is a huge issue for us. I don’t know how many times I waste time by hunting for something. (i’m currently wondering what happened to my little bow maker???)
I wish companies would label all 4 sides of the stamp pads AND color the label according to that pad’s color.

    1. Wouldn’t that be so nice?! Maybe someday they will see the needs to do so and we would be spending less money organizing and more on their products!

  15. My fav ink pad hands down is Stampin Up! and MFT, I love their soft premium foam ink pads and the ink has good coverage.

  16. Organization is a big problem for me. Summer time I use my unheated totally enclosed well lighted porch, but winter temps and ink pads —anything that could freeze move inside. Also everything is covered to protect from fading at my 7500 foot elevation. Thank you for giving me new organization tips. Have enjoyed my Stampin Up! ink pads and Versamark pads for many years. I always appreciate new information about the different ink pads marketed.
Thank you for the opportunity to win.

  17. Great organization! I agree that it is easier to create when all of your supplies are neat and organized.

My favorite inks are Memento Luxe and Hero Arts Shadow. I don’t have any Stampin Up but I’ll have to try them out sometime!

  18. Thanks for sharing your stamp pad storage ideas. I really like the Distress inks and SU ink pads. Thank you

  19. Never had one before so I do not know the brands. I think these are very neat and I would love to have and use at home.

  20. I use Stampin’ Up mostly for stamping sentiments and images, but Distress Inks are so fun for everything else!

  21. Thanks for the awesome tutorial. Clicked on over and bought some of those labels. 🙂

My favorite inks are Stampin Up, Distress and Hero Arts. Those are the ones I use the most, by far.

  22. I have started to purchase My Favorite Things Hybrid ink. It has a mix of dye and pigment ink features..

    Love your ink storage
