**VIDEO** Organizations – Cardstocks

My journey of finding the best organization solutions for the craft studio never ends! I constantly try to find a better way to improve my current solutions. I LOVE organizing!!!! (You can tell I am a neat freak)

I have a 10×10 room where I work and craft and spend most of my days here. I do not like to leave things out and my materials all have place they stay. Today, I am sharing my quick tip on cardstock organization. So far this is the best solution I came up with, without taking too much space in my studio.

SCRAPS & STAMPS TIPS:

– I used this rolling file cart to store my cardstocks currently. It slides in and out nicely, so when I am done working on projects, I simply slide it in underneath my cutting area desk so it doesn’t take much space. I found the rolling file cart here. Make sure to shop around to get the best price!

– My cardstocks are sorted by the color collection, then by the specialty papers (water color papers, silver papers, vellumes, etc.). I labeled them using the Viewable Labeling systems and they all have the true color of the actual paper. I simply used the web color catcher to math the cardstock colors. It does take a while but so worth it! It is very easy to locate certain colors when needed.

Let’s chat up! How do you organize your cardstocks? Leave comments below, would love to see how others organize.

  1. Where do you live? I could sure use you to help me organize everything. I have been hunting for my favorite scissors for 3 days now. Can’t imagine what I did with them. They are in that room somewhere.

  2. Love Love Love this filing system for paper, thanks so much for sharing. I do have one question: where did you get the CLEAR filing folders?

    1. Hi Deinse, I got it online- you can get them from any stationary stores and look for clear file folders. They are pretty affordable price too 🙂

  3. Hi Nicole,

I just ordered your awesome labels, thank you SO much for making them available. I love the cart you used as well & am considering it. I was wondering, do you think there is enough room for 1 pkg of cs in each folder?

    1. Hi Ann, I usually put 1/2 packet of cardstocks and put the other half in my craft closet with other extra materials 🙂

  4. Hi, where did you get your extra large legal hanging file holders? All the ones I’ve found have been no bigger than 10×14.

    1. Hi Tammy, I made those myself. It is pretty easy to do so, you can google how to make 12×12 hanging file folders and there will be instructions for you to follow. It is not hard but just time consuming.

      1. Can you please put a link to a how to make the 12x 12 hanging file folders and/or where to buy them?
I have been toggling up the how to sand am not being successful. Much appreciated.

        1. I believe you can get them at local crafting stores or at amazon.com – I just googled it before to create 12×12 file folders but the post I referred to before doesn’t seem to exist anymore. I will email you if I find it 🙂
